I need comfortable walking shoes for serbia. What kind should I get?

I am going on a study abroad to Serbia. We will be doing an awful lot of walking. I need comfortable shoes but I don't necessarily want sneakers. I'm also required (part of the theatre dress code) to wear black most of the time so if I could get them in black that would be good. Any ideas?

If you walk in the cities, just go to your favorite store and fit shoes till you have a pair that suits you.
How can anybody tell you which shoes fit you without knowing you.

For walks in nature, go for mountain boots. (dress code be d****ed)
Or even better, get a pair of mountain boots or other serious walking shoes, suited for long walks in nature and get a good pair of (black) shoes for city use.
I would personally choose no heel, laces (strings) and very comfy to walk on.
You could of course also wear sneakers or running shoes, but those are not what I would chose.
