I’ve been suffering with plantar fasciitis, what shoes would be a good choice?
I've had it for a while, I wear orthodics but I can't wear them with every pair that i own. I work as a teacher so im on my feet a lot, and i can't wear athletic shoes to work because they require we dress up and wear dressy shoes, and besides I've tried a lot of different atheletic shoes and haven't really found some that feel too comfortable. Please help, I'm in a lot of pain, I'm waiting for my referal to the podiatrist and for my insurance to approve it, any suggestions?

go to snails pace that is where i go i have pantar fasiitis also
they find the perfect shoe for you
The orthotics are a must so you need to wear shoes that you can fit them in. When you see the podiatrist you may have some custom-made ones so don’t buy too many shoes until you’ve got those as they may not fit. I know it’s a nuisance but there is no quick fix with this condition. It is certainly possible to get shoes for work that will fit the orthotics, one with a strap across the foot can be helpful as it holds the foot in the shoe better.
Some Podiatrists sell Birkenstock shoes in their office. If you can’t find one who does, you can go to http://www.BirkenstockCentral.com and order them. My husband wears orthodics also but can wear his with sneakers. He has worn New Balance 609 shoes for more than 5 years now. You can purchase those from Famous Footwear (www.FamousFootware.com if there is no store near you). The insole comes out so you can put the orthodic inside so you don’t have all that “bulk” with two soles. Good luck.
