What are some good walking shoes?
My son is a 12 months old and has been walking for about a month now, but only with socks on. As soon as I put any kind of shoe on him, he cries and can't really walk. We have some sketchers, some new balance, some walmart shoes, and some target shoes. All of them seem to have a hard sole though. So I thought maybe something a little softer would be easier? if that makes any sense. Any help would be appreciated, I would also love a direct link.

I got some from Target called Socx (I think). They were on an end cap of the shoe department. Soft sorta like a slipper, but with some traction on the bottom. Worked great for my daughter. But, FYI they say bare feet are the best thing for kids to learn in.
walmart has a white walker soft sole or go to a shoe store and get him fitted
See Kai Run and Pedipeds. Those are the only shoes my son really has ever worn, Even Pumas are great and very flexible. I also liked Tip Toey Joey ALOT but they are hard to find. Good luck I think you are best off with the see kai run and pedipeds. Oh and P.S. ROBEEZ SUCK! If anyone suggest those, we have tried them and they cut into my sons ankle and left marks there for weeks!!
Hands down, I think Stride Rite are the experts when it comes to little kids and shoes. They stock a lot of toddler sized shoes in varying widths and sizes so you won’t leave frustrated. There’s nothing more annoying than going into a big department store and find they have just a few shoes that might work but none in the size your kid needs. (A wasted trip in terms of gas *and* in taking your kid out again to try shoes.)
Trust me on this one as a mom who has had to do this 3 times now, they’re the store you want to hit with your son.
(As a side note, I do not work for this company, nor do I know anyone that does. I just think they’re great for little kids.)
Take him to Stride Rite and have him fitted. All 4 of my children learned to walk in Stride Rite shoes.
